We’ve officially arrived at summer, and summer weather, which means running in tank tops. I always reach for this tank top first. My other tank tops are jealous. The names of my running heroes are inspiring, the color is top notch and the fabric is light and wicking.
I ran across the company, Sarah Marie Designs when I heard the owner interviewed on the ‘Ali on the Run’ podcast. I loved the background of the company, and I always like supporting small businesses. I checked out the website and I fell in love with this shirt. The prices are a little higher than what I would usually spend on a running shirt, but when they had a sale I splurged. I am so glad that I did. Strangers on my running path yelled compliments as I passed by. I wore this tank top at a humid Park Run and someone stopped me after the race to ask where I bought it. During a very hot and humid marathon training cycle last summer wearing this shirt lifted my mood.

Since we’re not racing right now, I’m treating this summer like a dress rehearsal for next year. I picked out the annual races I want to do next year and am training for a time trial on the regular race date. Since there won’t be race t-shirts I plan to treat myself to a new Sara Marie Designs shirt instead. I think it will work out to be less expensive than a race registration and will be great “race day” motivation.
