Snack Attack Solution: Justin’s Nut Butter Packet

Anyone else out there suffer from afternoon sleepy syndrome? Every now and then I hit an energy slump in the early afternoon. I think it’s when lunch wears off. It could also be that when I get to the office in the morning I get an energy rush over all the email I get to read. On many days I literally run before work, before I figuratively run to work. I think all that activity in the morning can spell low energy in the afternoon.

Let me introduce you to my friend, the Justin brand nut butter packet. This is the sleepy slump antidote. One of these is an ideal snack on the go, it’s portable, it’s got some protein, it’s fairly healthy, gluten free, dairy free, and tasty! I love that there are a bunch of choices, so it doesn’t get boring. Right I’m on a maple almond butter kick. I also keep the chocolate/hazelnut/almond butter packets on hand in case of a chocolate emergency. This version of chocolate nut butter is dairy free!

Did I mention these are portable? I keep them in my purse and in my desk at work.

The best price I’ve found for this item is on Amazon Subscribe and Save. A box of 10 packets of maple/almond butter  is about $10, but with Subscribe and Save I get a discount of 15%, bringing them down to $8.50. The chocloate/hazelnut/almond butter is the same price. Other varieties of the almond butter packets (vanilla, honey, cinnamon) are $11.90 a box, and with Subscribe and Save is $10.12.

Justin’s also sells a dark chocolate nut butter cups that are also dairy free. They. Are. Fantastic.
