SOLE orthotic insoles!

I’ve had various issues with my feet since I was a kid. At one point, in the 1980s, I was given custom orthotics. At the time that meant a neoprene type fabric with hard rubber wedges for support. Wearing shoes with those insoles hurt as much as any of my foot injuries. I went years without needing orthotics. As an adult, when I started running longer distances, an injury sent me back to the podiatrist and back to orthotics. Prescription orthotics have come a long way, but I still found them annoying. I mostly manage my foot issues now with physical therapy exercises and comfortable shoes with a wide toe box. When I run into any problems, I use over the counter orthotic insoles from SOLE

I like the SOLE brand orthotics made with a cork base. They mold to your feet, either by heating them in the oven, or just during use. I like that they have a little shock absorption, and the cork lets them really adapt to how my feet move when I’m running. They also help out with support for my freakishly high arches. This brand also has an option specifically made for shoes with a wide toe box (Altra, Topo, or wide sizes). Medium works great in most running shoes styles.

SOLE also has versions of insoles with an EVA base, which is resilient. They have options in different thickness so that you also use them in shoes that are higher volume (like hiking boots) or tighter profile (like cleats). They have some options with a met pad if you are having issues with neuroma.

SOLE offers a great 90 day guarantee so that you can try them out long enough to tell if they work for you. Their website offers a 10% code if you join their mailing list. You can use this link for a discount off your first order.

SOLE has a loyalty program that gives you 10% of your purchases back in a credit for your next order. You can also purchase some SOLE insoles from Amazon. I like to buy the performance/ cork version from REI, and I get 10% back with my REI membership. These insoles are consistently priced at $59 regardless of the seller.
